Neighborhood Impact Grants NOW OPEN!

At TCDC, we believe lasting neighborhood change starts from within—with the residents, businesses and organizations who know their communities best. That’s why our Neighborhood Impact Grants are designed to be resident-led, providing resources to turn local ideas into meaningful improvements across Thomasville’s Traditional Neighborhoods.

The Neighborhood Impact Grant application portal is now open, providing funding to help residents, businesses and organizations invest in Thomasville’s Traditional neighborhoods.

Made possible through funding from the City of Thomasville, the Neighborhood Improvement Grant program supports small, targeted projects that make homes safer, strengthen neighborhood connections and improve commercial properties in TCDC’s focus neighborhoods.

A Look at Last Year's Impact

The opening of the grant cycle comes as TCDC releases its 2025–2026 Neighborhood Improvement Grant Impact Report, highlighting what the community accomplished with the City of Thomasville’s $50,000 investment.

During the 2025 cycle, TCDC funded 27 projects, including:

  • 15 Home Improvement Grants

  • 3 Commercial Façade Grants

  • 3 Neighborhood Activities Grants

  • 6 Wills Packages

Home Improvement Grants addressed practical health and safety needs including wheelchair ramps, grab bars, elevated toilets, improved lighting, handrails, fire extinguishers, safer flooring, doors and locks, and porch repairs. Neighborhood Activities Grants supported community gatherings and back-to-school initiatives, while Commercial Façade Grants helped local businesses make visible improvements to their properties. The program also expanded to help residents protect family property through wills and heirs' property prevention.
